Our Story:
Sandalwood school had a modest beginning in 1990 as a school for the very young at Patel Nagar Dehradun. It is now a full-fledged senior secondary school (XII) with good strength at Kargi Chowk, Shivalik Enclave- II Banjarawala Road, Dehradun. The school is affiliated with the council for ISCE New Delhi. Sandalwood is a co-educational day school from nursery level to class XII with Commerce and Science stream. The medium of instruction is English.

Staff:
The school has a well-qualified and dedicated staff team. The staff–student’s ratio in Sandal Wood is limited to an optimum of 1:25. The effort is made by the teachers to establish an individual report with the student &become better acquainted with their interests, needs & personal difficulties.
To enable parents to have a better understanding of the children’s performance and behavior, both in the classroom & outside it, and to enlist their cooperation in the best interest of the children, Parent-Teacher meetings are held regularly every month. All parents are invited to visit the school on these days to meet the respective Class/Subject teachers and discuss personally the progress of their children
Facilities:
Sandalwood school is equipped with Physics Lab, Biology Lab, and Chemistry Laboratorie, a well-stocked library, An activity room, an Art room, a Smart class, and computer Lab, and a big playground for sports. Students enjoy different indoor and outdoor games. School also organizes Sport’s day, Science exhibition, and Annual Function every year.
House :
Pupils are placed in one of the 4 houses: Daffodil, Drycena, Morning Glory, and Tulip-under the house captains and vice-captains, members of teaching staff are attached to houses as houses incharges so as to take a personal interest in the children of their houses activities, competitions, and games. There is regular inter-house competitions for the students in badminton, chess, English elocution, patriotic song, Rangoli making and Diya decoration, soft board competition with a view to inculcate team spirit.
